An indictment was filed today (Wednesday) against a fighter from the Nahal Brigade for the offense of reckless death. In addition, a request was made for the soldier's detention until the end of the legal proceedings in his case. The first Rishon Yonatan Granot.
It will be recalled that an IDF fighter from the 50th Battalion of the Nahal was fatally wounded in a serious shooting incident that took place in a camp in the Jordan Valley.
According to the investigation, the fighter was hit by a Roger bullet, a weapon for dispersing demonstrations, which was apparently fired from a multiple where the ranges had been used shortly before.
A few days later, Sergeant Jonathan Granot died as a result of the shooting.
