The March of Life, one of the flagship events of Holocaust Martyrs 'and Heroes' Remembrance Day, will be held this year in honor of doctors and nurses in the Holocaust, and will take place in an innovative format.
Participants were photographed and digitally assimilated on the original parade route, between Auschwitz and Birkenau.
The marchers will be led by President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin.
He will be accompanied by the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, the Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Yitzhak Herzog, the Chairman of the JNF, Avraham Duvdevani, and many others.
Dozens of participants around the world were photographed using advanced 3D imaging technology, placing a memorial plaque on the railroad tracks between Auschwitz and Birkenau, a class considered one of the most exciting events of the parade of life each year.
The parade will be broadcast live to the public on Holocaust Martyrs 'and Heroes' Remembrance Day, followed by a virtual memorial service.
"We all have a duty to work to pass on the memory of the Holocaust to future generations, not to forget, not to let it be forgotten," said President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin, who was photographed in the new format and will be the first to light the torches at the ceremony this year.
