Paris: parents invent the app that simplifies school and homework

Exchanging homework or the diary, helping each other between parents of students in the same class, their free app puts the binder in the news of the

"Was it school?"

Do you have homework for tomorrow?

And the swimming pool, is it good Friday?

»« Bahhh… I don't know anymore, I don't have my textbook.

And then I forgot my book… ”Parents of schoolchildren who have not experienced this kind of dialogue must be counted on the fingers of one hand.

For most of the others, this simple question leads to a spiral of random phone calls to the parents of friends, a waste of time and mental energy that makes the subject "homework" at least a puzzle, sometimes a source of conflict. .

Marie Lewin knows something about it: with 4 children at home, a blended family where you have to deal with everyone's school organization and deal with recurring omissions, often "We're tearing our hair out", smiles this Parisian quadra.

“It is no coincidence that the thorny subject of homework is the third cause of parent-child disputes!

"

So Marie, her husband and another Parisian father, all digital professionals and facing the same "nightmare", decided to invent the solution they were so lacking: it's Feamzy, a free application that allows parents to '' exchange homework, information and various events planned for their child's class, without spending hours there.

Everything but a focus group

“With my daughter, it's recurring, especially when she was in elementary school,” says Marie.

And I was far from being the only one, there are always plenty of things that we don't know unless we are parent delegates!

Today schools are going digital, there are sites that link with families, for grades for example, and it works when teachers play the game, but it is always unilaterally in the direction of the school. to parents.

There are also instant messaging groups, social networks, admits Marie Lewin, but it's very intrusive, and the discussions are about anything and everything.

The vocation of Feamzy is not to be a tool of conversation!

We wanted to offer parents an efficient and fast tool, their app that they manage completely independently from the school, which does not contain any personal data, and which can be applied to all schools ”.

The more parents they have to join a virtual class, the more they can help each other and share information with just a few clicks.

“30 seconds to exchange an assignment or synchronize their diary with that of the school, organize activities etc”, underlines the co-founder of the application, which also offers a blog.

Good plans

Six months after its launch, Feamzy already has 2,500 users, parents of students in 320 classes, for whom the first advantage is the sharing of homework subjects.

“But the idea is to create a network of trusted parents and expand the functionality, for example for school trips, when a parent has a last minute problem that makes them late.

The objective is to make it a tool for managing school and family life with immediate solutions.

In a few weeks, Feamzy will also be enriched with a “Feamzy campus”, allowing it to obtain discounts and good deals from partner start-ups.
