The relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William is strained.
Now the brothers are said to have spoken to each other for the first time after the Oprah Winfrey interview.
London / Los Angeles - They are not only brothers, but were even considered best friends for a long time: Prince Harry (36) and his older brother Prince William (38) maintained a close relationship.
It is possible that the early death of her mother, Princess Diana, welded the two youngsters together.
But now both of them have grown up and have their own families.
Since Harry and his wife Meghan and son Archie turned their backs on Great Britain, the two brothers are said to have moved more and more at a distance, not just spatially.
Harry recently formulated the desire for reconciliation in the Oprah Winfrey interview, which was followed with tension around the world.
William then announced to reporters that he wanted to speak to his brother.
Now the first conversation between the two had apparently taken place.

TV presenter Gayle King (66) announced on the morning program “CBS this Morning” on March 16 that there had been a first conversation between the two men since the interview was broadcast.
Meghan, with whom the presenter is friends, is said to have told her personally.
“I called them to see how they were doing.
And it's actually true, Harry spoke to his brother and father, ”King said at CBS.

She was apparently told that the conversations had not been productive.
King also revealed that the allegations of racism against the royal family were the main focus of the phone call.
According to Meghan, however, the talks should not have been productive.
Nevertheless, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have been glad that a conversation had taken place after Harry called his brother for the first time after the interview.

So far, Prince Charles had responded to the demand for the interview with a giggle at a public appointment.
Prince Harry, however, had emphasized that the royal family was "not a racist family".
It remains to be seen whether both parties will find access to each other again and whether there will be a constructive exchange of family problems.
Queen Elizabeth II was dismayed by the racism allegations and stated that she wanted to clarify this in close family circles.
