White Sardinia: second homes, Solinas red light

Sardinia, the only Italian region in the white zone, has chosen the hard line

: the owners of non-resident second homes can enter only for proven work needs or health reasons and in any case presenting the certification of vaccination occurred or of negativity to the swab.

The ordinance adopted by President Solinas, valid from 18 March to 6 April, is in the wake of those of the Aosta Valley and Alto Adige which immediately issued a restrictive measure with respect to the Government decree.

Until the end, the Region was ready for an ordinance that limited itself to tightening controls on arrivals.

- The Solinas ordinance, however, tightens checks at arrivals and provides for filters right from boarding.

Carriers and shipowners acquire from passengers the registration on the Sardegna Sicura app but also the documentation certifying the reasons for which they are traveling and the possession of the requisites provided for by the Dpcm 2 March 2021 for travel from the Regions of origin.

In absence, boarding will be forbidden.

The president decided to involve the forestry corps in support of the Ats staff in the activities of monitoring and control of the certifications of vaccination and submission to the molecular or antigenic swab.

A role is also assigned to the mayors who, as civil protection and health authorities, supervise compliance with the ordinance on mandatory tests, monitoring compliance with home stay in built-up areas, through the local police and barracellari companies.

The Forestry Corps will do the same thing but in rural and coastal areas.
