Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that the new US administration wants to obtain new concessions from Iran by exerting pressure on it.
Fars news agency quoted Zarif as saying in an interview with the American "Politico" magazine about the administration of the new US President Joe Biden's policy towards the nuclear agreement, "Washington wants to obtain new concessions from Iran by exerting pressure on it," noting that no new issue has occurred that requires dialogue. Between Washington and Tehran related to the nuclear agreement.
Zarif added, "We have an agreement on which we negotiated with the same people who are currently in the White House and the US State Department, pointing out that the reason for Iran’s refusal to dialogue is that there is nothing for dialogue as everything has been previously negotiated."
Former US President Donald Trump announced in 2018 his country's withdrawal from the nuclear agreement signed between Iran and the "five plus one" group in 2015, while European signatories announced their adherence to it and its full implementation.
