The 34-year-old suspect, who was to be tried in court immediately after his custody and who disputes the facts, had asked for time to prepare his defense.

The court ordered his placement in pre-trial detention "

in view of the risk of repeating the facts and the insufficient guarantees of representation

", in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution.
