A couple from Prunay-le-Temple, a village of 400 inhabitants in the Yvelines, is no longer connected to the city network. Heating is on

Imagine having to fetch drinking water from your neighbors with jerry cans.

This is the fate reserved for Donatien and Ellen Guillot, a couple from Prunay-le-Temple (Yvelines), a village of 400 souls in the east of the department.

The Guillots have however always paid their water bill, their house is well connected to the network, but the Saur, which distributes the sector by delegation of the Intercommunal Syndicate of the Yvelines Region for Water Supply, is not not able to provide them with the precious liquid.

And it's been going on for ... four months!

“With the onset of winter, it became terrible, hell, recognizes Donatien Guillot, installed in the place last October the day after the death of his mother who occupied the family home.

We have no heating, no toilets ... We use our neighbors, we go to shower with friends, a few kilometers away.

We consume staggering amounts of the bottled spring water we buy.

The most difficult is the lack of heating because our radiators no longer work.

We come out exhausted from these long weeks ... "

For lack of drinking water, the D system is common among the Guillots./LP/Stéphane Corby

Despite several registered letters, dated November 9 and December 24, 2020, addressed to Saur, the situation has not changed.

And this despite the passage of three technicians from Saur, on October 16 and December 15, 2020, then on January 19.

“We were sent a technician three times, but they could not do anything because our installation would be shut down.

It seems that a pipe is severed in depth.

They advised us to turn to the town hall, but there too we did not listen.

"The mayor (SE) Jean Myotte was warned of the situation of the Guillot couple but did not respond to his" calls for help.

Contacted, he did not respond either.

"We do not understand the interest of keeping ourselves in such a state of discomfort and precariousness"

Faced with the silence of the Saur, the Guillots have, moreover, resolved to be assisted by a lawyer whose letter of formal notice sent on February 16 has also remained a dead letter.

"The emergency restoration of the water supply is essential for them, both for reasons of hygiene and for heating in winter," writes Master Ganna, at Saur des Yvelines.

(...).

My customers pay a subscription to the drinking distribution service.

so no refusal of connection can be opposed to them.

I therefore urge you to proceed with the connection of my clients for whom you manage, within 15 days ... "" We do not understand this silence which has lasted for nearly six months, plague Donatien Guillot.

Nor the interest of keeping us in such a state of discomfort and precariousness.
