The Narcotics Control Branch in Damascus arrested four drug traffickers and seized in their possession 27 kilograms of narcotic hashish, quantities of silivia and marijuana, and an amount of forged foreign currency.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that SANA received a copy of it today that based on the information received by the Narcotics Control Branch in Damascus about the presence of a person promoting narcotic substances and hiding those substances in his home located in Salhiya, the Narcotics Control Branch arrested the aforementioned person.
The ministry added that by searching his car, a quantity of the narcotic substance was found hidden in it, and by interrogating him, he admitted that he was hiding another quantity of narcotic substances in his home and the clinic of a person working with him promoting drugs in the Al-Misat Square where he was arrested, and by searching the house and the clinic, large pieces of hashish The drug, a quantity of the two narcotic substances, silivia and marijuana, and an electronic scale and their evidence. Two other people were arrested. The first admitted that he had hidden a quantity of narcotic substances in his Peugeot car and searched it. According to the Ministry's statement, the amount of narcotic substances confiscated from the arrested reached 27 kg of narcotic hashish, 620 grams of silivia, and 170 grams of marijuana, and by interrogating the arrested, they confessed to their possession and promotion of narcotic substances.
The two aforementioned cars were seized and narcotic substances confiscated, and investigations are still ongoing to uncover all those involved in the case to take legal measures against them.
