The surprise trip by Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday to Poissy, in Île-de-France, raised a wind of criticism among elected officials in the Ile-de-France region.
The Head of State had chosen to meet with certain handpicked mayors such as those of Versailles, Mantes-la-Ville or Ploemeur in Brittany.
But those who discovered the news without being invited expressed their regret publicly, especially since the regional health situation required, according to them, a minimum of consultation.

Like Stéphane Beaudet, president of the Association of Mayors of Île-de-France, who was offended by this situation on social networks, Valérie Pécresse, president of the region, was clear during a visit to the Genopole d'Évry: "
I am waiting for the President of the Republic, out of Republican courtesy, to invite the president of the region, the president of mayors, to a very broad consultation and I regret that we were not invited to his trip to Poissy
