A spokesman for the Argentine Ministry of Security confirmed to CNN that this Thursday they found Maia with the suspect of having kidnapped her on public roads in Luján, located in the province of Buenos Aires.
The seven-year-old girl was last seen Monday morning.
Stella Belloso, Maia's mother, reported her missing on the same Monday afternoon, after which the Sofia protocol was activated.
This is an emergency alert that determines the search for the minor throughout the country with security, justice, and communication resources.
The mother, relatives and neighbors led demonstrations in the Lugano neighborhood, in the southwest of the city of Buenos Aires, to demand the appearance of the minor.
