With a view to the temporary suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccinations in Germany, the head of the Medical Association, who is also the medical director of the vaccination center in Hamburg, called for a new vaccination strategy.

Older people have so far seen fewer allergic reactions after vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

For the younger population, the head of the Hamburg Corona Vaccination Center suggested increasing the use of the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine.

“At Biontech, we now also know that the transmission of the virus and minor infection processes are prevented to a high percentage.
These are completely new data from Israel, ”reported Heinrich of the new study results.
Therefore, the Biontech / Pfizer vaccine must now be used differently than before, pleaded the Virchowbund boss.
"We now have to use a lot more Biontech for the younger ones because we know that the vaccine can prevent transmission," says Heinrich.
He suggested making greater use of the vaccine for the population most likely to transmit the coronavirus.
According to Heinrich, these are "daycare workers, teachers, doctors, nurses, caregivers, everyone who is actively in contact with people."
