In honor of their memory and appreciation for their role in contemporary Syrian song, the General Postal Corporation issued a set of postage stamps that carried pictures of five late Syrian artists and composers.
The collection, issued in coordination with the Syndicate of Artists in Syria, included pictures of singers Fahd Ballan and Fouad Ghazi, composers Adnan Abu Al-Shamat, Samir Helmy and Abdel Fattah Sukkar.
It is noteworthy that the General Postal Corporation issues honorary stamps on various occasions to cultural and artistic personalities to commemorate their art and honor their creativity.
