Russian President Vladimir Putin said today (Thursday) that he "wishes health" to US President Joe Leiden, after calling him a murderer.
"People tend to see in others what they see in themselves," he said.
In Biden's first statement since the publication of Biden's interview yesterday, he said that Moscow would continue to cooperate with Washington only if it would help it.
"We have a different genetic code of their own," Putin said in an interview with state television.
Russia announced last night that it had returned the US ambassador to Moscow for urgent consultations on the future of its relations with Washington.
Moscow's backlash came after Biden also said Putin "has no soul," promising to pay a price for Russia's interference in last year's presidential election, which the Kremlin denies.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov today described Biden's remarks as "very bad."
He told a conference call that Russia would examine its relations with Washington.
