Comedians pay tribute to the deaths of the Covid by reading the testimonies of their families

This is the hope of Stéphanie Bataille, whose father succumbed to the epidemic in January.

Julie Gayet, Jacques Weber, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Catherine Frot, Andréa Bescond ... About thirty actors responded to his call to name some of the more than 90,000 dead from Covid-19 in France.

In front of the camera, each read the testimony written by the family.

The videos were posted to YouTube on March 17, a year after the first lockdown began.

The actress was traumatized that she was unable to visit her father while he was hospitalized in a Covid unit.

By creating a dedicated email address, she collected testimonials from people who went through the same ordeal.

As a result, in a few weeks, more than a thousand responses reached him.

Stéphanie Bataille, who notes that many relatives are "

", also participated in the creation of Tenir ta main, an association aimed at "

restoring humanity

" to Covid patients.

She has also launched a petition, in which she demands that relatives be allowed to visit them in the hospital or in nursing homes.

", she writes in this text. which gathered more than 40,000 signatures.

To date, no national tribute ceremony is planned in France.
