Argenteuil: "bad management", "harassment" ... unease among municipal officials

2021-03-19T12:37:29.415Z

The unions denounce a lack of consultation and increased pressure by the health crisis and the establishment of a new organization.

“It's the general management that does anything.

They are in the process of reorganizing a whole bunch of service without consultation, ”laments Pascal Videcoq, of the territorial CGT at the town hall of Argenteuil (Val-d'Oise).

"For example, there is a reorganization requested for media libraries, forgetting that there is an authority that exists and that the voice of agents must be respected," quotes Yamine Sahila, FSU-Snuter.

To express their discomfort, nearly a hundred municipal officials participated in a general assembly organized by the CGT, FSU and CFDT on the forecourt of the town hall.

Beyond protocol issues, the unions point to the cumulative effects of this management method with other issues on the health of agents.

“There is mismanagement of the health crisis, judge Yamine Sahila.

We have officers placed in solitary confinement by their doctors and harassed to get them back to work.

Pascal Videcoq also deplores the effects of the crisis on staff.

“The agents are overwhelmed.

With Covid-19, it's complicated.

It's just in time.

There are needs of people everywhere.

He calls for a freeze on reorganizations until the end of the health crisis.

"We have a lot of reported cases of harassment"

The unions are also under pressure to push employees to leave the town hall.

“We have a lot of cases of harassment reported,” says Yamine Sahila.

In the youth service, we have eight people in severe pain.

He estimates that a hundred people are affected, but according to him this is not linked to savings objectives.

Pascal Videcoq does not share this opinion.

“There is a decrease in allocations, so the staff becomes the adjustment variable.

But we still have to make the public service work, ”he emphasizes.

He also points to the state of many agents, the town hall has 2600. "There is a real discomfort, but many do not dare to speak, assures the representative FSU-Snuter.

We are waiting for the mayor to bang his fist on the table to say that these reorganizations must be discussed in front of the technical committee and that there is real consultation with the agents, as was the case before, ”he adds. .

The mayor, Georges Mothron (LR) did not wish to respond to our requests.
