The United States and China exchanged allegations tonight (Friday) as part of the first official meeting between the Biden administration and Beijing, held in Alaska.

In the opening speech, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken criticized China's actions, and its counterpart Wang Yi replied that China would not tolerate interference in its affairs.

Washington later accused Beijing of violating the length of the speech.

"We will discuss our concerns about China's operations, including in Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan, cyber attacks on the United States and economic coercion on our allies," Blinken told Chinese officials.

"Each of these actions threatens the world order."

China's senior diplomat Yang Jichi spoke for 15 minutes, making it clear that Xinjiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan are an integral part of China.

"The United States is using its military and economic power to judge and oppress other countries," he said.

He accused that "blacks are being massacred in the United States" and that human rights in the country are at a low point.
