Self-tests have been available for purchase in your pharmacy since last week.

According to Hirschvogel, the offer has been widely accepted.

"The tests go over our counter several times an hour," she says.

The self-tests from the distributor Roche cost 12 euros each.

If several are bought at the same time, the amount is reduced to 10 euros per test.

Reordering wholesalers is not possible at the moment, but according to the owner, the pharmacy has enough in stock.

“There are also other sources of supply,” says Hirschvogel.

Self-tests are also available in other pharmacies

Starting today, individual self-tests can also be purchased in the Baab family's pharmacies.

You could already buy larger packs with a total of 25 tests, says Maria Eurisch, the pharmacy's junior manager.

Kreuz-Apotheke in Lechstadt also

offer the self-test.

Markus Waldvogel, branch manager of the Kreuz pharmacy, confirms the great demand.

“The tests are very well received,” he says.

That is why they have already re-ordered for next week.

The tests by the manufacturer Hotgen Biotech cost less than 10 euros.

The tests in the

Owner Brigitte Schäfer-Ullmann says: “The order is in progress and the delivery is guaranteed.” The tests could arrive at the pharmacy this week and will probably cost less than 8 euros each.

Discount stores and drug stores also offer self-tests

In addition to the pharmacies, the self-tests are also available for purchase in discounters and drugstores.

Yesterday, the editorial team visited various stores on a random basis and found two well-known names.

The "tests for self-use by laypeople", as they are called in technical jargon, are all approved by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices.

The sales outlets mentioned offer the tests in the form of a nasal swab.

The test person receives the result within about 15 minutes.

If this turns out to be positive, according to the Ministry of Health, there is still no obligation to report, but the result should be confirmed as soon as possible by a PCR test.

As a precaution, you should go into domestic isolation in the meantime.
