A recent American study revealed the effectiveness of aspirin tablets in preventing complications arising from infection with the Coronavirus.
Researchers from George Washington University examined the records of 412 patients who were admitted to many American hospitals between March and July 2020, where about 24 percent of patients received aspirin within 24 hours of admission to the hospital or in the seven days before admission, while not receiving it. 76 percent of them are medication.
The researchers found that taking a low dose of aspirin daily may help protect the lungs from the Corona virus, as it contributed to reducing the need for patients to put on ventilators by 44 percent, reducing their need to enter the intensive care unit by 43 percent, and reducing the risk of death from the virus by 47 percent. percent.
Dr. Jonathan Chau, who participated in the study, confirmed that the reason for reviewing the effect of aspirin on Corona patients is that a large number of patients with the virus have blood clots and their complications, as aspirin is used to prevent blood clots from forming.
