Surfers from around the world report: A glitch on WhatsApp and Instagram

Surfers around the world are reporting tonight (Friday) on the collapse of the popular messaging app WhatsApp and the social network Instagram - both from Facebook.
On WhatsApp, users get a message that the app is trying to connect to the server, while on Instagram a message is received "We are sorry, but something is wrong right now".
At this stage there is no reference from Facebook, and the cause of the malfunction has not yet been clarified.
According to the malfunction map on the Downdetector website, the disruptions that occur mainly in European countries, the United States and South America.
Countries where the app has crashed also include Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, Lebanon, Argentina, South Africa, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore and more.
According to WhatsApp, the world's most popular messaging service has over 1.5 billion users in 180 countries.
Out of 1.5 billion users, about a billion users are active daily with India the largest market for the app.
There are only about 200 million users there and some estimate that the number of users has increased to 300 million.
Every minute 29 million messages are sent and every day no less than 65 billion messages are sent.
