The Lebanese army arrested two gunmen in the Hermel region, in the Bekaa, in the northeast of the country.
The Lebanese Army Command stated in a statement tonight that a patrol from the Army Intelligence Directorate raided the area of al-Qaa’s projects, arrested a gunman in al-Qasr in Hermel for the offense of arms trade, and seized a medium war weapon, “Dushka” with his base, a Kalashnikov war weapon and ammunition.
The statement indicated that another person was arrested in the Al-Assi Bridge locality for firing at a car carrying passengers without causing any injuries.
The investigation of the detainees is carried out by the relevant authorities under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
