Marlène Schiappa announced this Saturday that she had lodged a complaint after a wave of cyberstalking targeting her.
“Political commitment cannot justify digital raids.
Faced with a wave of cyberstalking including death threats, I filed a complaint and asked Twitter to act, ”said the Minister of Citizenship on her account.
“Twitter remaining in the inertia, I made my account in private.
I am the first to be sorry, ”she adds.

The minister is not her first complaint after insults received on social networks.
In 2019, she had already explained that she had filed a complaint after receiving numerous insulting messages on social networks following criticism of the pot launched in support of ex-boxer Christophe Dettinger.

“Complaints are systematically filed.
No death threat, no suicide call, no filth as we can see, will undermine his determination to act and speak out against these attacks, ”his cabinet explained to Franceinfo at the time.
Finally, last December, the minister had already challenged Twitter, asking her to "take responsibility", after April Benayoum, first runner-up in the Miss France contest, was targeted by many anti-Semitic messages on the platform.
