Lam Zheng pointed out that the "14th Five-Year Plan" reiterated support for Hong Kong to enhance its status as an international financial center and strengthen Hong Kong's role as a global offshore RMB business hub, international asset management center and risk management center.

For the first time, Hong Kong’s strength in developing innovation and technology has been recognized in the national plan.

She also said that Hong Kong’s future lies in its economic integration with the Mainland, while maintaining its unique advantages under "One Country, Two Systems". Under the national "dual cycle" development strategy, Hong Kong will actively become a participant in the domestic cycle and a facilitator of the international cycle. .
