Maintenance workshops at the General Organization for Drinking Water and Sewerage in Lattakia completed the repair of faults on the second traction line after continuous work that lasted about 15 hours.
The General Director of the Corporation, Eng. Madher Mansoura, confirmed that the corporation resumed pumping directly with one pump at eight o'clock in the evening, and after three hours, the second pump will be put into operation, provided that the pumping will be completed by four o'clock in the morning on Sunday.
Mansoura pointed out that the water will enter the city's neighborhoods via the second traction line at the beginning of tomorrow morning.
The corporation had started maintenance work at dawn today, and in order to avoid water cut off from the city's neighborhoods, it had transferred pumping to it via the alternative line.
