The Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong issued a notice earlier that from March 15th, people who have been vaccinated against the new crown will be allowed to enjoy visa convenience.
The Commissioner’s Office in Hong Kong later explained to everyone that Chinese citizens holding Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passports and Home Return Permits do not need to apply for a Chinese visa to return to China. Therefore, the relevant visa facilitation policies are only applicable to foreigners holding foreign passports to the Mainland.
In addition, the Office of the Commissioner’s Office also clarified that foreigners who are granted visa convenience are not exempt from isolation, and they still need to comply with the relevant regulations of the place of entry for isolation and observation after entering the mainland.
Foreigners who wish to apply for a visa are required to be vaccinated with the new crown pneumonia vaccine produced in China, with 2 injections at the specified time interval or 14 days after the vaccination with a single injection.
Visa applicants with a vaccination certificate are no longer required to provide a negative nucleic acid test certificate and a "trajectory of travel and health declaration form in the past 14 days".
Foreigners must meet any of the following conditions before they can apply for visa convenience: (1) Foreigners and their family members who go to China to resume work and production activities in various fields; (2) Due to emergency humanitarian reasons, such as funerals or visits to critical illnesses Relatives of foreigners; and (3) those who hold a valid APEC business travel card.
