Small black beard, medium height, single and unemployed, this 24-year-old man was refused his request for release Thursday, March 11 by the chamber of instruction in Paris.

His cannabis and cocaine deal point is one of the two biggest "ovens" in the city along with that of Boute-en-Train.

True eldorado of trafficking, according to justice, between 2015 and 2016, its daily turnover was estimated between 20,000 and 30,000 euros.

"Nono" is suspected of having last June, in Saint-Ouen, kidnapped and tortured a young man against a background of cocaine debt.

His criminal record is already heavy with six convictions, pronounced between 2015 and 2019 for facts which are all related to narcotics.

“I wasted my life since I was 18 but I would like to do something,” he explains.

His goal would be to pass his driver's license to become a delivery driver.

A ransom of 200 euros for his release

This story begins at the end of the afternoon on June 7, Porte de Saint-Ouen in Paris, when Karim, 18, who thought he had a date with a girl, is surprised by four fellows who surround him and force them to accompany them to the city of Charles-Schmidt.

The young man is first led into a hall of a building and then into a cellar.

In this sordid basement, the kidnappers put her sweater on her head.

He takes punches, kicks and sticks.

He is burned on the stomach with the flame of a lighter then with a heated blade before being urinated on.

Around 7 p.m., his captors demanded that he phone his mother.

The boy carries out orders.

And at the end of the line, he announces to his mother that he has been kidnapped and that his kidnappers demand that she bring them the sum of 200 euros against his release.

The mother calls her son back and comes across one of the criminals who explains to her that this boy cheated them with 1,500 euros worth of cocaine and that he must reimburse them.

An appointment is given in front of McDonald's, located near the Garibaldi metro station.

The mother warns the police and a device is set up in front of the fast food restaurant.

At 8:50 p.m., the police saw the victim arrive with a young man.

The noose is tightening on them.

The officials release Karim and arrest the suspect.

His search reveals that he is carrying a knife intended to impress the mother.

This teenager is placed in police custody in the premises of the departmental judicial police service of Seine-Saint-Denis.

The perpetrator ensures that his role was limited to escorting the victim to the restaurant.

The victim is in shock.

She is taken to the psychiatric hospital.

Karim got rid of cocaine

A little later, when he is heard, the young Karim explains that he was approached by a man named "Nono", the boss of this Saint-Ouen deal point, who entrusted him with fourteen sachets of cocaine for qu 'he sells them.

But since he has already had trouble with the law and lives in a hostel, the boy would have preferred to get rid of him.

He adds that it is this “Nono”, surrounded by four other people, who allegedly tortured him.

Investigators will conduct investigations based on surveillance images and telephony before identifying the protagonists of this sordid affair.

But in January, during the confrontation carried out in the office of the examining magistrate of Bobigny, “Nono” denies en bloc.

“I have nothing to do with this case.

I am not the sponsor of this assault.

He's a guy we nickname H2, ”he says.

His accomplices maintain that he was not there.

But Karim maintains his accusations and formally recognizes his executioner.

A DNA expertise was ordered on the victim's pants to try to find the genetic fingerprints of his torturers.

Only DNA unknown to the file was discovered.

"Nono, there are loads"

In defense, the lawyer of "Nono", Me Nicolas Salomon, recalls that his client was not identified by the videos and that his nickname is not proof of his guilt.

“There are loads of Nono in Saint-Ouen.

This young man is telling nonsense.

His statements are so inconsistent that the examining magistrate was even forced to point out to him during the confrontation.

The lawyer also mentions a victim who did not prove his injuries by not having them noticed by the medico-judicial unit.

For its part, the general prosecutor believes that it is not the time to put the victim on trial.

He recalls that during the investigation the young man was very silent and that before the examining magistrate his accomplices conventionally returned to their first declaration to clear him.

“The real scandal in this case is not the inconsistencies of the victim, he breathes.

What we cannot accept is this private justice and these punitive expeditions to settle scores.
