The study of antiquity is harmful.
This is what professors of ancient history, Latin and Greek, in certain American universities affirm today.
A movement that started from Stanford is, in fact, in the process of questioning the existence of these disciplines (the "classics") on campuses, on the grounds that they impose on education a "white supremacism of neocolonial inspiration. »(As Raphaël Doan explained on FigaroVox on March 11).
In addition, in France, a debate arises on the abandonment by national museums of Roman numerals in exhibition labels, because the public is supposed not or no longer able to read them.
Instead of learning Roman numerals, let's delete them!
