In order to meet the higher numbers, the Airports Authority conducted a doubling of the number of checkpoints for incoming passengers.

They will undergo a second PCR test upon landing in Israel, and the positions will be spread across the entire entrance hall to maintain a distance between the passengers, who are separated by a partition from the rest of the island.

At the same time as preparing for an increase in the number of entrants, they are preparing in the field for action in the "election procedure".

Tomorrow, the Election Commission will place four ballots in the E arm of the field, to allow incoming passengers who are not vaccinated, recovering or children up to the age of 16 to vote before entering isolation with an electronic bracelet or in the Corona hotels.

The Election Commission will tour the field today to examine the layout of the polling stations at the venue and guide the teams on how to place them and what the voting procedures will be.

The passenger entry regulations were supposed to expire tonight, but a statement sent by the Foreign Ministry to world missions stated that the passenger quota would be expanded by only a thousand, so that 4,000 people could arrive and 4,000 could leave daily, due to Ben Gurion Airport's "operational restrictions". Until the election, flights will be approved mainly from destinations from which Israelis are expected to arrive in order to vote.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister's, Health and Transportation Ministries announced that the Corona Cabinet approved the abolition of the restriction.

The ministers also approved the abolition of the Exceptions Committee, the abolition of the restriction on flights arriving in Israel as a cargo flight and departing with passengers, and the abolition of the obligation to measure heat for passengers at the entrance to the terminal and before boarding, as stipulated earlier regarding the rest of the economy.
