The popularity of President Emmanuel Macron fell by 4 points, to 37% of favorable opinions against 60% of unfavorable opinions (+4), according to an Ifop poll for the Journal du Dimanche.
The popularity of Prime Minister Jean Castex fell by one point according to the same survey, to 36% against 60% (+2) negative opinions on his action.
Emmanuel Macron's popularity rating compares favorably with that of his predecessors at the same stage of their mandates (29% for Nicolas Sarkozy and 17% for François Hollande).
Survey conducted from March 11 to 18 among 1,911 people aged 18 or over who were interviewed online, using the quota method.
Margin of error between 1 and 2.3 points.
