For the first time, a vaccination quota for the district can be calculated from the figures.
Of around 15,000 district residents over 80, 13,463 are willing to vaccinate.
11,401 of them received their first vaccinations, which corresponds to a vaccination quota of 84.68 percent of all those willing to vaccinate.
In relation to the total number of people over 80, the rate is around 76 percent.
"This would achieve the much-discussed herd immunity," explains Matthias Skrzypczak, medical director of the vaccination center.
