The day after the verdict, on February 18, Me Antoine Vey, one of Georges Tron's two counsel, announced on the set of the program C à vous (France 5) his intention to appeal to the Supreme Court.

, the defense of the sexagenarian is currently working on his memoir in demand.
The same evening, the lawyer added that his client would also file a request for release.
“We asked for total freedom, but an electronic bracelet would also be possible,”

Ten years of business
The "Tron case", which saw the light of day ten years ago, is still far from its judicial episode.
This case has its roots in the complaint filed in May 2011 by two former employees of the town hall of Draveil against Georges Tron, then mayor of the city and Secretary of State for the Civil Service, and the mayor- Assistant in charge of Culture Brigitte Gruel.
Throughout the procedure, the two accused have continued to proclaim their innocence.

At the end of a first trial, which took place in October-November 2018 in Bobigny, Georges Tron and Brigitte Gruel were acquitted.
The prosecution appealed, which led to the organization of a new trial.
