The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Ali Khamenei, affirmed that the US embargo and sanctions imposed on a number of countries in the world, including Iran, which include food, medicine and health supplies, are a major crime against humanity.

Khamenei pointed out that the upcoming Iranian presidential elections are of great importance internally, as they are re-modernizing the country's administration and pumping new blood into it, stressing that the wide participation in it indicates national power, noting that the American and Zionist intelligence agencies are working to empty these elections of their importance by using the virtual space extensively.
