In addition, 14 doctors were injured by the artillery fire.
A woman and a child were among the dead in the city of Atareb in the north-west of the country.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense had initially spoken of five dead and ten injured.
It blamed forces supported by the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad.
The Turkish military has a military base in northwest Syria.
It supports rebels there who control the area and fight the Assad troops.
In further attacks, according to rebels, Russian fighter planes shot at several training camps.
A spokesman for the National Army rebel alliance said Russia wanted to destabilize the last rebel stronghold.
Russia is on the side of the Syrian government.
At first no comment was received from Moscow.
In northern Syria, Turkey apparently flew air strikes on Kurdish areas for the first time in 17 months.
A Turkish fighter plane bombed positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) military alliance in the village of Saida near Ain Issa on Saturday evening, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The military alliance SDF is led by the Kurdish YPG units.
Ankara perceives the Kurdish autonomy across the border as a threat, as it could boost the Kurds' independence aspirations in Turkey.
For the Turkish government, the YPG fighters are "terrorists".
