Eyal Golan appeared today (Monday) in the Tel Aviv District Court for the first hearing in the civil lawsuit filed by T. and N. on the grounds that he sexually exploited them.

Apart from Golan, from whom they are seeking compensation of hundreds of thousands of shekels, they are also suing his father and others involved in the affair, as well as the Israel Police for the many investigative failures in the case.

A demonstration by women's organizations took place outside the hall.

At the end of the hearing, it was determined that the parties would notify the court within 30 days if they had reached agreements.

Judge Yael Ilani suggested that the parties resort to mediation, although an earlier attempt was unsuccessful.

"The affair should end in a compromise," she stated.

"This is true for all parties. Every now and then there are waves - rising in the media and everything is turbulent, and everyone feels hurt by the publicity. I think we should end the noises that accompanied you all the time. I have no doubt that in all respects, including legal and ethical, .

The hearing also raised the question of the death of the singer's father, Danny Bitton, who was among the defendants, and it has not yet been clarified who the heirs are who should legally step into his shoes.

Orna, a spokeswoman for the Tel Aviv Civil District Attorney's Office, who represented the police, said that "we submitted the letter of defense, we do not want to delay, in terms of opinion we need time to consider."

Advocate Rotem Aloni, who represents the victims, claimed that Golan was conducting the procedure by dragging her feet, while Golan's defense attorney, Adv. Oded Gil, accused the plaintiffs of extortion.

"We came to the mediator we approached, she knew how to finish cases. My friends did not arrive at the mediation date," Aloni replied, as published in Walla !.

"More disrespectful than that - to come and say they're blackmailing? It's an insult."

"We are glad we have reached this moment, after very long years of injustice," T. and N. said before the hearing.

"It's time for the world to see who the real liar is. Let everyone look at him and he will be ashamed, not us. Years he kept burying us in the same place. No more. For us it is the first step on the path to justice. The first hearing deals with formal matters. ".

About twenty demonstrators came to the court to support the victims who are suing Golan.

"We arrived today to tell T. and N. that this time they are not alone," said the Association of Aid for Victims and Victims of Sexual Assault, which organized the demonstration together with the "All" organization.

"Eyal Golan has the money, the connections and the power - but they have the truth - and us."

"It is time for the lies of Golan and his entourage to be exposed. It is time for the public to know what really happened there, and for the Israeli media to stop embracing him and train the shameful sexual exploitation," they said. "For the police's failure to charge a horrific victim. It's time for them to understand that the laws have changed. It can't be passed."

The affair exploded in 2013, investigating suspicions of sexual exploitation of girls by the singer and his entourage.

The cases were eventually closed against all involved in the affair, except for the singer's father, who was convicted in a plea deal of offenses of aggravated prostitution, exploitation of minors for prostitution, obstruction of justice and destruction of evidence.

He was sentenced to two years in prison.
