Several hospital doctors recently recalled that the saturation of resuscitation services is not a new phenomenon, specific to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Below for example, Dr Gérald Kierzek maintains on the set of Eric Brunet (LCI) that the resuscitation services of hospitals are overflowing every year since 2017: "
every year before the coronavirus, it was saturated, we were at- beyond this famous bar of 4,000
”(which corresponds, he recalls, to the alert threshold which allows to speak of a saturation of services).
If the current phenomenon of saturation of intensive care services is frequently cited by the public authorities to justify new health restrictions (on March 16, Jean Castex again mentioned this indicator during the press conference during which he announced the reconfinement of 16 departments), the question is therefore very important: is the current saturation of services a phenomenon
