On the occasion of Election Day, the Ministry of Transportation approved free travel on public transportation until the end of the transportation service on Tuesday night.

Free travel will be possible on more than 600 long-distance bus lines as well as on all Israel Railways lines.

Passengers on approved lines will not be required to present any document or certificate and no age limit will apply to passengers.

Passengers will be able to travel freely on the approved long-distance buses, without having to validate the trip using the multi-line ticket or one of the widgets for payment on public transport.

For more information about the bus lines that will operate free of charge, you can contact the information center of the Ministry of Transportation 8787 *.

Traveling on lines that are not approved as part of the arrangement involves payment, including municipal bus lines and light rail in Jerusalem.

The Ministry of Transportation also announced that eligibility for free travel to or from Eilat is approved for Eilat residents only and is conditional on the presentation of an identity card or voter notification form, at Egged's ticket offices, during the round-trip ticket issuance, valid for Election Day only.

Israel Railways will operate in full format.

The train journey on all lines in the country, including short journeys within the cities, will be free of charge and without an age limit or the need for identification.

Passengers on the train will be able to issue a dedicated travel ticket for Election Day at the station box office or at the ticketing stations located at the station.

Meanwhile, Corona patients who want to exercise their right to vote cannot independently go to the designated polling stations, and must sign up for specially organized shuttles.

Those staying in isolation will be able to reach the designated polling station by car and not by public transport.

Those who do not have a car will be able to book a ride according to the outline formulated by the Central Election Commission with the taxi company Get.

The Mobit transportation app will launch a polling locator service for all public transportation consumers.

The company's website also updates all free transportation lines.
