The Arab Writers Union held a poetry festival on the occasion of the International Poetry Day, in which a number of poets participated in various poetic forms that included the two halves, the subtraction, and the prose on various topics that were dominated by the emotional and human nature.

The festival, which was moderated by the rector of the Poetry Association, the poet Helena Atallah, indicated that poets came from various provinces of the country in various poetic forms on the occasion of the International Poetry Day to prove the identity of the culture and challenge the circumstances.

The poet Abdullah Al-Abd delivered a number of his poetic texts that adopted music and emotion in a coherent and balanced topic, relying on distraction as a conclusion to the letters of the rhyme in addition to interest in the Arabic language and its rules.

In turn, the poet Dr. Osama Hammoud recited a poem in which he used the fragmentary sea of ​​sand in the musical movement to express the reflection of his emotion according to the frequency of the emotional event that the letter qaf is a spherical fit for the text.

Poet Basil Ahmed Ali, in his poem, which came in an artistic tapestry on the actions of the whole sea, pointed to the importance of the poets ’commitment to the lofty goal of the poetry day's memory, calling for interest in culture and literature and reaching the great love, which is considered one of the ultimate necessities of life.

The poet, Ahlam Banawi, recited a poem in which she showed that love and roses are stronger than bullets because we have an affiliation, a civilization and a long history, based in her text on closed verbs that result in a single musical note.

As for the poet Qahtan Bayraktar, Damascus came in his poetic introduction and expressed his great love for it and its pardon and its beauty and authenticity, in addition to his urging the development of morals and commitment in poetry, confined to the poetry of the two halves.

The texts of the poet Ghaleb Jazyeh express a self-moving emotion with the poem’s event and its music, which accompanied its movement with interest in the language and the conclusion of the text.

And in his poem, which came in the style of the two halves, through the poet Farhan Al-Khatib, about the importance of poetry and its place in himself, pointing out the need for the poet to display the honors that are supposed to reflect the originality of society, as he used the letter T spherical appropriate to the text.

The text of the poet Abbas Hayrouka had matched the artistic image with the spontaneity of the rhyme and the narrator to express a psychological and philosophical tendency in his conscience.

In his poem, which came in the style of prose, the poet Abdel Nour Hindawi relied on flash, symbol and connotation to indicate the importance of purity, love and beauty, using the components of nature in his artistic formations.

Damascus was the most important component of the poetic text in the poem recited by the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Hamed. It was weighed in the style of the two halves, full of emotion and sorrow, and studded with truthfulness.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Hourani, President of the Arab Writers Union concluded the festival by stressing the importance of fully elevating the participating texts, expressing love and commitment to the authenticity and integrity of the Arabic language.

Dr. Al-Hourani and members of the Executive Office honored the poet Abdul Karim Al-Naem in appreciation of his great poetic career and cultural role over a long journey.

The celebrated poet recited an emotional poem with a musical movement in harmony with rhetoric and images. He also demonstrated the importance of honoring in the Poetry Society, through which it seeks to prove the existence of writers and poets and preserve the prestige of culture.
