Within the framework of the Ministry of Endowments’s preparations to launch the Ramadan Charitable Market in the governorates, the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Sattar Al-Sayed, met today with representatives of commercial and economic activities in Hama Governorate.
The minister called upon the merchants and business owners to contribute to lowering prices and organize efforts to expand charitable works in order to achieve the principle of social solidarity and to alleviate the repercussions of the economic blockade imposed on Syria.
The Minister of Endowments stated that the initiative of the Ramadan Charitable Market is the sale of basic commodities and foodstuffs at reduced prices to citizens, as every merchant must start his work from his national, moral and humanitarian duty, expressing the ministry's readiness to provide the necessary support in this regard.
In their turn, merchants and representatives of economic activities in the governorate affirmed their readiness to support the success of the initiative by offering a wide variety of goods in the charitable market that meet the needs of citizens during the holy month.
The meeting was attended by the Governor of Hama Muhammad Tariq Kreshati.
