The spring revival of festivals seems more and more compromised.
While a battery of new "
braking measures
" for the Covid-19 epidemic was announced last week, the Printemps de Bourges music festival has just announced, Monday, that it has postponed the dates of its 45th edition. due to uncertainties related to the health situation.
Initially scheduled for the week of May 4 to 9, the Cher music festival now has an appointment for the beginning of the summer, from June 22 to 27.

“
Unfortunately, at the time of a final commitment decision for the implementation of the festival, we must anticipate the situation to come and accept that the first days of May no longer offer a health and regulatory framework conducive to the 'organization of a general public and convivial event
”, announced the organizers of the festival in a press release.
Tickets to shows already purchased remain valid, they said, while specifying that the reimbursement deadline will be extended until June 20.
A few weeks before the presentation of the festival's program, the organizers also stressed the importance of being able to "
ensure the best reception conditions for all audiences
".
On the sidelines of music, Printemps de Bourges will host this year the second edition of the Estates General of Festivals, organized by the Ministry of Culture to dialogue with actors and professionals in the sector and jointly think
of
“
new models
”.
But undoubtedly more than this political concertation, it is the contact with the public which seems to be missed the most by the organizers.
“
For a year now, festivals, concert halls and all cultural venues have been waiting to resume their activities fully
, they recalled Monday.
Every day, for all these actors as well as for Printemps and its teams, the desire to find the public, the artists and the desire to share all the emotions of a festival again becomes more pressing.
