The region's project was submitted to the Minister of Health Olivier Véran for authorization, the latter told AFP.
Some 150 multipurpose rooms and gymnasiums in high schools from Nice to Marseille via Digne-les-Bains have been identified by the region, which proposes to open them during the two weeks of Spring holidays in zone B, i.e. from April 26 to May 9 to further accelerate the fight against the epidemic.
In addition, the region plans to select “
six vaccinodromes
” to allow “
intensive vaccination
” for two weeks.
To keep up with the pace, the community plans to set up during this period an "
exceptional reserve
" made up of retired caregivers, around 5,000, and 10,000 nursing students.
Finally, six “
vaccinobus
” are going in the coming days to go “
in an exceptional way
” to the most remote villages.
In addition, "
special stops
" will be established for regional coaches "
which already pass in the vicinity
" of vaccinodromes on "
each of their classic rotations
" to facilitate access to all residents, specifies the region.
