Jamie Foxx will play Mike Tyson in a miniseries.
The project will be named "Tyson" and will feature Martin Scorsese as executive producer, a Tyson representative confirmed to CNN.
The idea was originally planned as a movie starring Jamie Foxx.
The actor won an Oscar for playing Ray Charles in the 2004 film "Ray." The series, written by Colin Preston, will tell the incredible life of Tyson and how he made boxing history at just 20 years old.
"I've been looking to tell my story for some time," Mike Tyson said in a statement.
“With the recent release of Legends Only League and the excitement of the fans following my return to the ring, now it feels like the perfect moment.
I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey, but also inspires and entertains, ”added Tyson.
At the moment, the series is not linked to a network or streaming service.
Tyson and his wife Kiki will also serve as executive producers.
