The technical workshops of the Hasakah Governorate Electricity Company began to repair the technical faults in the medium and low power transmission networks as a result of the strong winds that the governorate witnessed last night.
The director of the company, Eng. Anwar Okla, stated to the SANA reporter that the network malfunctions in the city of Hasaka included the exit of five (20 kV) lines from service, three of which have been returned to service and work is underway to restore the rest of the lines, and for the low networks, the networks of five transfer centers have collapsed. Work is currently underway to return it to service.
In the city of Qamishli and its countryside, Akla explained that the strong winds led to a malfunction in the transformer cable 20-66 and another breakdown on the 66th sector in the Tal Alou station, indicating that the company had called on all maintenance workshops to restore service to citizens as soon as possible.
Two days ago, the company's maintenance workshops conducted maintenance for the electrical line feeding the Alouk water station, after it was damaged by strong winds.
