Artistic paintings that translated women's creativity and passion for art were embraced by an exhibition that opened this evening at the Arab Cultural Center in Sweida.
The exhibition, which includes nearly 50 artworks with a variety of techniques, including wood engraving, monotype techniques, various techniques, collage paper and fabric collage for four female artists, the outcome of six months of training at the Fine Arts Center, according to the curator of the exhibition, plastic artist Shady Abu Hala.
Abu Hala pointed out that the works were carried out with great passion and love by the students, as each of them presented topics including humanism, silent nature, black and white portraits, in addition to colored works, indicating that the aim of the course is to show the composition and lines studied correctly in addition to the color grades in the artwork.
The artist, Carmelinda Ruslan, participating in 9 works, explained that the exhibition was distinctive and has its own peculiarity because it is the product of a six-month course of engraving and academic methods, where several materials and engraving projects and colored and regular woodblock printing were tested in addition to Molotov and seals and several techniques describing the course that she and her colleagues in the Academy went through and educational and what distinguished it. Artist Hoda Zaitouneh, participating with 13 works with different techniques, she worked in black and white, with colors, and in the abstract and expressive style, she indicated that the expressive and abstract painting is the most beautiful.
Fine artist Haifa Abdel-Hay, who participated in 13 paintings of many techniques, confirmed that the session added a lot of experience and artistic culture, noting that she was planning to do many projects.
