2021 Elections:

What is it like to get to the Promised Land and not enter?

This metaphorical question, in the electoral-political sense, overlooked this narrow time frame after each election day, when it still did not know exactly how many seats each party had received.

For those who are embedded in the border places, it is a question of a "game-changer", from a career year at times - the one that will make them MKs - some for the first time, or leave them in their daily routine.

Today or tomorrow, at the end of the double vote count, they will know the answer.

Member of Knesset Tali Plaskov from the Likud, for example, is ranked 31st on the party list, as of last night there is still a foothold there.

"I am anxiously awaiting the end of the results of the truth," she admitted in a conversation with "Israel Today."

"I headed the Likud's information headquarters in the Russian - speaking elections, and we have a lot of plans that we want to implement regarding our sector. Therefore, my entry into the Knesset is not just mine, but that of all Russian - speaking staffs."

A Knesset member is a little better known by virtue of PZMO and his duties are Dr. Nachman Shai.

"Publicly I'm really happy and personally a little disappointed," Shai honestly admits.

"I salute Merav Michaeli, who saved the party," he declares.

The question of age does not disappear from Shai's eyes.

"Personally, if the president of the United States is 78 years old and the chairman of the House of Representatives is 80, then there is also room for older people with experience, and it is important for me to represent the older public in Israel. I won seventh place in the primaries. "And I agree with that. I hope to come in because I have a lot of experience and what to give to the public, and that is also a good mix for the party."

Two other figures who waited for the double vote last night were a new hopeful, MK Zvika Hauser, who surprisingly, at least according to polls, was convinced he would enter the plenary gates, as well as a religious Zionist, a member of Bezalel Smutrich's party and Ethiopian member Aina Farda Sanbato.

It should be noted that if a government is formed, it is possible that at least some of the swingers will still enter the Knesset in the end, due to Norwegian law - if the head of their party becomes a minister and resigns from the Knesset.

The new Knesset, which will be sworn in on April 6, is expected to have 20 new Knesset members.

According to a survey conducted by Prof. Ofer Koenig of the Israel Democracy Institute, 30 women will serve in the new Knesset, as in the 23rd Knesset.

The largest number of women will be in the Likud (8).

The 24th Knesset will have 15 Arab MKs, most of them on the joint list and in the USSR.

The data is not final and there may be changes after the count is completed.
