In addition, it is estimated that if there is indeed a fifth round of elections, Netanyahu will lead the Likud in the election campaign.
He will then appoint a straw candidate who will formally serve as prime minister, while he will make the actual decisions, if indeed we reach such a situation.
"Such a law will not prevent him from running, but will make it difficult for him," party officials said.
Another significant move that Saar believes is still possible to implement is the formation of a government in the current Knesset without Netanyahu.
This is a very preliminary outline, which also depends on the results of the truth.
In general, the idea is to connect the factions to the right and new hope to one bloc in the Knesset, which will have 13-12 seats.
Naftali Bennett will head the faction and will be a candidate for prime minister.
In order to obtain a 61-member majority for such a government, in a new hope they will work to mobilize the support of Shas and Torah Judaism from here and Yair Lapid from here. In addition, it is assumed that Bnei Gantz and the Labor Party will be part of the coalition.
"It will not be easy, but if you want it is possible, and the question is whether Bennett will. First of all, it depends on him," said a source in New Hope.
He explained that despite the difficulties, there had already been precedents for small factions run by governments for a long time.
He mentioned in this context that Netanyahu ran a government when he headed a faction of only 19 seats, in the years 2015-2013, after the dissolution of the partnership between the Likud and Yisrael Beiteinu.
The late Ariel Sharon also ran a government with 17 seats at the height of the second intifada, when his main partner, the Labor Party, had 23 seats in the Knesset.
