Italy recorded 21,267 cases and 460 new deaths from the Coronavirus during the past 24 hours.
The Italian news agency AKI quoted the Ministry of Health as saying that the total number of HIV infections in the country amounted to 3 million 440 thousand and 862 cases, and the total number of recorded deaths increased to 106,339 deaths.
In the same context, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi told the Senate that the government is determined to accelerate the national vaccination campaign against the Covid 19 epidemic, with the aim of injecting half a million doses per day.
Draghi stressed the need to accelerate the vaccination campaign, the results of which have begun to appear in the data on pandemic indicators, noting that the doses given in the first weeks of March have more than doubled compared to those given during the past two months.
