Al-Hayat Theatrical Quarterly magazine devoted its new issue file to talking about the Syrian theater through studies and research that monitored the implications of this art since the nineteenth century, while shedding light on the flags of forgotten playwrights and the phenomena that celebrated the Syrian stage in Damascus and the provinces.

In the speech of the issue, the magazine's editor-in-chief, Joan Jean, explained the need to shed light on theater writers in Syria who belong to different generations and have different experiences, and to make room for actors and directors to express their visions while celebrating their experiences as an essential part of the theatrical movement.

In the magazine, we read articles about Syrian theatrical figures who passed away last year from Ali Madarati, Marwan Idlibi and Muhammad Barri Al-Awani.

The number also covered a number of theatrical performances that were held in Homs, Hasaka and Sweida, in addition to focusing on children's theater shows and the most important activities of the national theater teams in Damascus and the provinces.

The window of windows on the Arab theater shed light on events that celebrated influential Arab figures in Abi al-Funun from Moroccan Soraya Jubran and Egyptian Hassan Attia, in addition to two readings in two texts by Kuwaiti writer Fatami Al-Attar and Egyptian writer Ibrahim Ramzi.

The section on studies and research devoted its pages to talking about theater in Aleppo, Syrian theater and the 1967 setback, in addition to reading five books on this art in Syria and facts from the Syrian theater press.

The magazine recalled the history and experiences of pioneers who founded and led the theatrical movement, starting with Abu Khalil al-Qabbani, George Boulos, Mustafa al-Hallaj, Hikmat Mohsen, Tayseer al-Saadi, Saad Allah, Nous, Muhammad al-Maghout, Walid Ikhlasy, Abdel-Fattah Qalaa Ji, Khaled Mohi al-Din al-Baradei, Duraid Lahham and Nihad Qala'i.

The issue contained interviews with artists and directors who enriched the Syrian theater with various performances from Mazhar al-Hakim, Ghassan Makansi, Suhail Uqla, Hussein Abbas, Suheir Barhoum, and others.

The magazine published 9 theatrical texts, including birds tired of the journey - by Bassam Al-Hafiz, no air for Rima - by Saqr's producer and the complaint - by Ayman Zaidan and brutal rhythm - by Muhammad Ahmad Khoja and copying and pasting - Jean Jawan and Khawla who - Muhammad al-Hafri and the lying rope - by Nader Akkad and the Enchanted Forest - by Rafiq Sabban
