For the time being, the municipality of Pullach will have to live with the fact that mointain bikers are out and about on the sensitive Isar slope between the canal and the high bank.
An application from Agenda 21 to close the area between Großhesseloher and Grünwalder Brücke for cyclists has now been rejected in the local council.

- "We cannot simply block the trail at this point, we would exceed our responsibility," said Bernhard Rückerl, the head of the environmental agency.
"Pedestrians can barely move on the trail," said Peter Kloeber from Agenda 21, explaining the move.
A few days ago, in an interview with Münchner Merkur, he drew attention to the sensitive flora and fauna.
The use by the bikers contradicts the Bavarian Nature Conservation Act and the Forest Conservation Act.
“We all know that the bikers are hard on the move,” Mayor Susanna Tausendfreund (Greens) emphasized at the beginning of the discussion.
Two thirds of the forest between the bridges belongs to the community.
The steering concept, which has been wrestling with all those involved for years and which wants to identify a trail for the bikers and close all side paths, "never came to an end".
It is not clear who will pay the rangers who have to watch over compliance with the concept.

The municipality has also already arranged that the Höllriegelpark is taboo for bikers, and, Tausendfreund announced, they want to keep closing the trail because it prevents the municipality from using the forest commercially.
