The Haifa District Attorney's Office (Criminal) today (Wednesday) filed an indictment in the city district court against Muhammad Abu Kamir and Amir Kamirat, 26-year-old residents of Ivtin, for aggravated robbery of an IDF soldier and weapons offenses (carrying and transporting). The prosecution wants to arrest the defendants Until the end of the legal proceedings against them.

According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Ilana Ficus-Roitblatt, an IDF soldier carried out a navigation activity in an uninhabited area, south of Shefar'am.

The soldier advanced alone in the field on a dirt path in the direction of Shefar'am, while wearing an IDF uniform, wearing a vest with combat equipment, including cartridges, and close to his body, using a leash, an M4 weapon, which he held in his hands.

The two defendants were traveling in the area at the time in a vehicle with Muhammad driving and Amir sitting next to him.

At around three in the morning, the defendants noticed the soldier.

The two approached him, Amir turned to him and offered him a ride - the soldier refused, and the defendants continued driving.

After a few minutes, they approached the vehicle once more, passed it and stopped the vehicle near the barn in the area.

The defendants got out of the vehicle, with Muhammad wearing a corona mask, approached the soldier, and Amir asked him how to get to a certain place.

At this point, standing close to the soldier, the defendants pounced on him.

Muhammad grabbed the weapon and pulled it by force from the soldier, while pushing and while trying to hit him in the head with a punch, while Amir places his hands on the soldier's neck in an attempt to strangle him, and also strikes him in the head and places his hands over his face and eyes, telling him That they want to steal the weapon.

All this when the soldier fought them, among other things with punchings, while holding a weapon with all his might, and shouting "terrorist" several times.

During the fight, the defendants scratched and bit the soldier and caused him injury and bleeding in his cheek and fingers, in an attempt to get the soldier to release the weapon.

Later, the soldier removed a cartridge from the vest on his body, in an attempt to load the weapon and defend himself against the defendants.

Following this action, the soldier's grip on the weapon loosened for a moment.

At this point, the two defendants who at the time were holding the weapon together, managed to pull it by force from his hands.

The two fled running towards the vehicle and fled with the weapon.

As a result of the defendants' actions, the soldier suffered scratches to the cheek as well as bruises and bleeding in the cheeks, wounds in the oral cavity, and injuries and bleeding in the fingers of his right hand.

Security forces were called to the scene and tried to locate the defendants, for several days, until the two were arrested.

The weapon was not located by the time the indictment was filed.
