Meeting on the 50th birthday: Bavaria's Minister of Culture Sibler under criticism after alleged corona violation
Sibler celebrated his 50th birthday a good four weeks ago and had himself photographed with the mayor of the city for a newspaper report.
A photo shows how Sibler stands with four other men on his property in the city of Plattling and holds a present in his hands.
According to the Corona regulations, only private meetings of a household with a maximum of one other person were allowed at this time.
He had already been ruffled by the head of the state chancellery, Florian Herrmann.
He spoke of an "unfortunate event" and referred to the role model function of politicians.
Sibler himself had stated at the time that the said photo was taken in an official context and shows the official congratulations from the city of Plattling, and that the distance and hygiene rules were observed during this short meeting in the fresh air.
